| 93rd Anniversary Reception for the Journal of African American History |
| Each year, friends and supporters of the Journal of African American History gather to raise funds for "the Jewel of ASALH." The 2007 JAAH Reception in Charlotte was a huge success, and we expect this year's to be even better! The JAAH Reception will be held on Thursday, October 2nd, from 7:00pm until 9:00pm in the Sheraton Ballroom. A wonderful celebration is being planned at the Sheraton Birmingham. Contributors to the Journal will be recognized during this event, and the 2009 U.S. Postal Service Black Heritage Stamp will be revealed. If you cannot attend the convention in Birmingham, you may still support the Journal of African American History by making a donation via the ASALH Store, or by becoming a JAAH Patron.
